Who We Are
|
Physically Speaking is a professional ensemble-based company under Ardyth Johnson. Physically Speaking compulsively plays with genre, form, style, and multidisciplinary approaches to physical theatre. What excites Physically Speaking is creating a great story for our audience and the ability to use performers as physical metaphors with physical scores. Over the years Physically Speaking has successfully produced several projects: Margaret's World, Visions of Our World, Eggstatic, Weirder Thou Art , Okie Dokie and White Chapel Redemption (associated with Theatre Incarnate, generously produced with the financial assistance of the Manitoba Arts Council). During this time Physically Speaking directed, adapted, created and devised original productions: Master Orloff and The Freakshow Beautifique (associated with Theatre Incarnate) , Phoney Baloney Pantolone, Captiano's Got Talent and a female bouffon group The Talentless Lumps. With these productions Physically Speaking has established itself as a dedicated and theatrically innovative company to continually watch.
